ABOUL-ENEIN Sameh, Minister Plenipotentiary and Deputy Head of Mission, Mission of Egypt to the United Kingdom, Egypt
Dr. Aboul-Enein has
previously served as Head of the Political Section and Counselor for
Disarmament at the Permanent Mission of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the UN
and to the Conference on Disarmament in Geneva.
He is the former Director of the United Nations Affairs Department at the
Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and worked earlier in the cabinets of two
ex-Egyptian Foreign Ministers. Early in the 1990s, he worked as a Research and
Teaching Assistant at the Political Science Department, American
University in Cairo. He is also currently a visiting
lecturer on disarmament at the University
of Westminster, London and a member of Multilateral Expert Group on Missiles.
Dr. Aboul-Enein has published a number of papers and articles on nuclear
disarmament, security & WMD free-zone in the Middle
East. Dr. Aboul-Enein holds a Master of Science in Politics and Government of
the Middle East from the School of Oriental and African Studies, UK. He has completed his
Ph.D./M.Phil. in International Relations and Foreign Policy Making with a
specialization in the Middle East from the American University in London and
the University of London. He also holds a certificate in Disarmament and
Security Policies from the Geneva Centre for Security Policy.
