Media Coverage

The Conference drew a lot of interest from the media. The organizers received approximately 350 applications for media accreditation from 15 different countries ahead of the event. Due to the limited capacity of the conference venue, accreditation was issued to 125 journalists representing 51 print and electronic media that provide international news coverage in Arabic, English, Farsi, Japanese, Korean, and Russian.

Address by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, issues of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action and the crisis on the Korean Peninsula received the most coverage.

Conference coverage included more than 125 news reports released by various media outlets. Some of these publications are available here.

The Conference also received extensive coverage in social networks. Official event hashtags #CENESS and #MoscowNuke2017, were announced ahead of the opening, and were actively used by ñonference participants.
