problem on the Korean peninsula. Dr. A. Zhebin spent 12 years in North Korea as a

joined IFES in 1992 and since then participated in various international
seminars on Korean affairs at home and abroad. In 1993–1994 – Visiting Research
fellow at the Asiatic Research Center at Korea University
in Seoul. In 1997 –
Visiting Research Fellow at Korea
Institute of National Unification (KINU) in Seoul. In
1998–2001 – First Secretary
and Counselor at the Embassy of the Russian Federation in
the DPRK. After coming back to Moscow he resumed his work at the IFES. Director
of the CKS since 2004. He is a member of Moscow Journalist
Associations since 1980, Association for Korean Studies in Europe (AKSE) since
1997, Russian Association for Political Science (RAPS) since 2003,
International Political Science Association (IPSA).
