Dr. Posch
Walter has completed his PhD in Iranian Studies at the Bamberg
University (Germany) in 1999. From 2000 to 2004
Posch Walter worked in the capacity of researcher at the National
Defense Academy
in Vienna, Austria. Over the period from 2004
to 2009 he was Senior Research Fellow at the European Union Institute for
Security Studies (EUISS), Paris.The areas
of expertise of Dr. Walter Posch include following topics: Foreign, security
and defense policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran; Iranian domestic policy,
political system and ideology of the Islamic Republic, European-Iranian
relations. In his papers
and publications Dr. Posch as an author and co-author has focused his attention
on several topics related to the Iranian nuclear problem and the relations
between Iran and the United States.
Among his publications and papers are the following: “Only Personal? The
Larijani Crisis Revisited” (2007), “Prospects for Iran's 2009 Presidential
Elections” (2009), “Foreign Minister Mottaki Dismissed and Salehi Installed”
(2011).
