Roland TIMERBAEV, Ambassador, former Soviet Union and Russian Federation Permanent Representative to International Organizations in Vienna (1988-1992), Russian Federation Amb. Roland Timerbaev holds doctor
degree in History. He is one of the fathers of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation
Treaty. He participated in drafting several key international agreements and
documents in the nuclear sphere, including the Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty,
the U.S.-Soviet Agreement on Measures to Reduce the Nuclear War Threat, the
IAEA safeguards system, the Threshold Test Ban Treaty, the Peaceful Nuclear
