 Adel TOLBA, Fmr. Director for Research and Development, Nuclear Power Plants Authority (NPPA, 1980–1989); Fmr. Head of Section, Department of Safeguards, International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA, 1989–2010), Egypt  Mr. Adel Tolba is a former IAEA Safeguards Department Section Head. He currently works as an independednt consutant on nuclear science, nonprolferation and arms control affairs. He held a number of positions at the IAEA, such as Section Head of Operations A for Southeast Asian Countries, Section Head of Operation for Covering EURATOM accession countries. Prior to that he was Responsible for Safeguards operations at the EU Enrichment facilities. He also served as Acting Section Head Operations, Covering EU countries and Acting Director Operations A. Before joining the IAEA Mr. Adel Tolba worked for different nuclear institutions in Egypt. From 1980 to 1989 he was with the Nuclear Power Plant Authority of Egypt, and from 1971 to 1979 served in capacity of R&D Director at the Egyptian Nuclear Research Center. He holds a PhD in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Alexandria.  Record |
