LI Chang-he, Vice President, China’s Arms Control and Disarmament Association, China


Li Chang-he has held his current post since 2005. He joined the Chinese diplomatic service in 1965 and retired in 2002. As a former Chinese diplomat, he previously served as Deputy Director-General of the Department of International Organizations and Conferences, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, China (1990-1993); Deputy Executive Secretary of the Provisional Technical Secretariat of the Preparatory Commission for the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons at The Hague (1993-1995); Ambassador, as well as the Permanent Representative of China to the United Nations Office and other international organizations at Vienna (1995-1998); Resident Ambassador of China for disarmament affairs to the United Nations Office at Geneva (1998-2000); Ambassador to the Czech Republic (2000-2002).
