FOSSUM Åse Marie

Ms. Fossum is responsible for the coordination of continued work within the United Kingdom-Norway Initiative on the verification of nuclear disarmament. Before joining NRPA, Ms. Fossum served as a staff officer within the International Secretariat of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation in Brussels, where she part of the time was seconded by the Norwegian Ministry of Defence. Prior to her contract with NATO, Ms. Fossum was an intern with the Norwegian Embassy in Paris.

With a Master in Political Science from the University of Oslo, Norway, and Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Lyon, France, Ms. Fossum has been specialising in international security and defence policy. She wrote her Master thesis on French nuclear weapons policy.
