Khin Maung Latt is a Director General of the Department of Technology Promotion and Coordination of Ministry of Education. He received his BSc Hons in Physics in 1983 at the University of Yangon. He began his career as an Educator at the University of Yangon in 1986. He received his MSc with an Electronic Emphasis. He joined Department of Atomic Energy of Central Research Organization since 1992 as scientist. He then spent 15 years in various technical and management roles in the CRO. He has been with Radiation Measurement Laboratory of DAE providing measurement services for more than a decade. After getting his PhD in NTU-Singapore, he became professor in physics in Yangon Technological University. He published more than 20 journal papers and fifty conference papers. For the past six years, Dr Latt has focused his expertise in Atomic Energy Development of Myanmar by rejoining to DAE. He is secretary of Myanma Atomic Energy Committee and NLO for IAEA and NR for RCA. He also is a member of National Focal for EU CBRN CoE.
