CENESS HOLDS ROUND TABLE ON JCPOA IMPLEMENTATION AT UN HQ

New York, United Nations Headquarters. On January 16, 2017, Center for Energy and Security Studies (CENESS), in cooperation with the Russian Foreign Ministry, held a UN General Assembly Side Event 'One Year of JCPOA Implementation: Achievements and Prospects for Sustainability'. CENESS Director Anton Khlopkov and Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov were keynote speakers.

UN Under Secretary-General and High Representative for Disarmament Kim Won-soo and Permanent Representative of Iran to the United Nations Gholamali Khoshroo, other officials and scholars made comments during the discussion that followed the keynote speeches.

The event was attended by more than 100 participants representing think-tanks, Permanent Missions to the UN (including all state parties of the JCPOA and the facilitator country in implementing UNSC Resolution 2231 (2015)), and UN international organizations, agencies and organs (including the IAEA, UNODA, 2231 Cell to Support UNSC in Implementation of Security Council Resolution 2231 (2015)).
