TENG Jianqun
Dr. Teng Jianqun is the Director and
research fellow of the Centre for Arms Control, China Institute of
International Studies, where he has worked since 2004. For 25 years he had served first in
the PLA Navy and later in the Academy
of Military Science. He
was the editor-in-chief of the Academy
of Military Science journal World Military Review and also an assistant research fellow there. In the past few years, Dr. Teng has
published several dozens of articles on the issues of arms control,
disarmament, and nonproliferation, in addition to authoring numerous reports
and books. His recent publications include: Choices and Challenges of China's
Nuclear Disarmament Policy, the New Concept on Nuclear Deterrence; On China's
Military Transparency; On China's CBMs: History and Prospect; Non-Proliferation
and Peaceful Use of Nuclear energy; A New Look at China's Nuclear Policy; An Assessment of Nuclear Free World
Initiative; International Arms Control and Disarmament (published in 2009).
