PANASYUK Alexandr

Mr. Panasyuk holds a Diploma of Engineer-Physicist from the Moscow Engineering Physics Institute and Diploma in International Economics from the Academy for Foreign Trade in Moscow. He has extensive experience with international safeguards, having worked at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) for a total of 12 years. He served as a Senior Analyst in the Iraq Nuclear Verification Office and as a Unit Head in the Department of Safeguards. Mr. Panasyuk has been a Member of the Standing Advisory Group on Safeguards Implementation (SAGSI) under the IAEA Director General since 2006. He also served as a member of SAGSI in 1998-2002. At various times, Mr. Panasyuk has served as the Adviser to the Deputy General Director, JSC “TENEX”; Division Head, Ministry of the Russian Federation of Atomic Energy; and as Unit Head, Engineer, All-Russian Research Institute for Chemical Technology. He has also participated in numerous international projects as a Coordinator from Russian side, for example, the Trilateral Initiative (Russia-IAEA-USA) and the Tripartite Enrichment Project (Russia-IAEA-China).
