LYSENKO Mikhail

Mr. Mikhail Lysenko graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO). Since 1977 he has worked in the USSR/Russian Foreign Ministry. He was Deputy Director, Department of the North America, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia in 19921996. Next four years (19962000) he spent as Minister Counsellor at the Russian Embassy in Canada. After that he was appointed as Director of the Department for Security and Disarmament of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia. Until his recent appointment in Rosatom, he spent four years (2004-2008) as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the New Zealand.
