About the Conference

The 2022 Moscow Nonproliferation Conference (MNC 2022) will be held on December 1-3, 2022, as an in-person meeting. It will be attended by researchers, scholars, diplomats, government officials and representatives of international organizations.

The MNC 2022 agenda includes plenary and concurrent session meetings that will focus on nuclear nonproliferation, arms control and nuclear energy issues.

This will be the sixth such conference. Moscow Nonproliferation Conferences are held once every 30 months, on average. The first MNC took place in March 2010, and the previous Conference was held in November 2019.

The organizer of the 2022 Moscow Nonproliferation Conference is the Center for Energy and Security Studies. (CENESS). The co-chairs of the conference are Elena Chernenko, member of the Presidium of the Council for Foreign and Defense Policy and special correspondent of the Kommersant newspaper; and Anton Khlopkov, CENESS Director, member of the Advisory Board under the Security Council of the Russian Federation, and member of the U.N. Secretary General's Advisory Board on Disarmament Matters (ABDM)
