Anatoly DIAKOV

Anatoly Diakov has been working for the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology since 1975, currently holding the title of Asssociate Professor. He is a former Senior Research Associate and then Director of the Center of Disarmament, Energy and Environmental Studies.

Author of over 40 scientific papers on nuclear arms reductions, the history of plutonium production in Russia, disposal of plutonium, possibility of conversion of Russian icebreakers reactors from high to low enriched uranium, as well as on other issues of nuclear arms control and disarmament. Since 1989 he has been engaged in research related to the scientific and technical aspects of disarmament: problems of nuclear arms control, nuclear energy development and preservation of nuclear nonproliferation regime.

Graduated from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. Holds a PhD in Physics.
