August 14, 2015. Moscow Russia. The Center for Energy and Security Studies (CENESS) organized a meeting on ‘The Iran Nuclear Deal: Russia's Interests and Prospects for Implementation'. The meeting, which took place precisely one month after the adoption of Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) in Vienna, was held in a form of conversation with the head of the Russian delegation at the nuclear talks between the P5+1 and Iran, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov.

The conversation itself centered on Russian diplomacy's contribution to the successful completion of unprecedentedly long talks, Russian interests at the talks and efforts in securing a positive negotiated outcome, Russia's role in the JCPOA's further implementation.

More than 80 experts from Russian think-tanks and research institutions, governmental organizations, foreign diplomats, and media representatives took part in the event. Some experts who were not able to take part personally submitted their questions to the Russian deputy foreign minister by e-mail for the one-hour-long Q&A session.
