Mikhail ULYANOV

Since 1980 he has worked in the Soviet/Russian Foreign Ministry. He served at the Department of International Relations of the MFA in Moscow, Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation to the United Nations in New York, Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization in Brussels. In 20022004 Head of Division of the Department of International Relations. From 2004 to 2011 served as a Deputy Director of the Department for Security Affairs and Disarmament. In 20042006 Head of the Bilateral Implementation Commission of the Treaty between the Russian Federation and the United States of America on Strategic Offensive Reductions. From 2006 to 2011 he was a Head of the Delegation of the Russian Federation to the Vienna Negotiations on Military Security and Arms Control. In March 2011 he was appointed Director of Department for Security Affairs and Disarmament, and since April 2014 Director of Department for Non-Proliferation and Arms Control. Graduated from Moscow State Institute of History and Archives.
